Martin is relentless, physical, and takes her job of protecting the lane serious! Ella uses her body well in posting up, feeling where the defender is, and finds ways to spin around them to score. Uses the glass well when posting up! (Below on defense)

Ella makes her move off the watch list into the #77 spot, and I think she will just continue to improve on that. She is a solid post player with a nice touch at the rim. The junior just passed 1,000 points for her career, and her footwork has allowed her to control things in the paint. Excellent on the boards and a solid defender.

Ella does a very good job at protecting the paint and using her length to get a lot of deflections and steals. She works very hard in the paint and can score all around the rim. She takes off down the floor and can score like a point guard, she boxes out and makes smooth post moves to score over her defender. She fights to get the ball in her hands in the paint and tears up the low block.
