Arias’ bread and butter isn’t just the ability to shift gears and change direction to create separation, but the understanding of when to do it. She shows advanced feel by recognizing when the floor is spaced properly, identifying openings as they develop, and attacking those driving windows with purpose. That combination of timing, pace, and control makes her difficult for defenders to contain once she gets downhill.

Arias uses a deceptive first step to get the defender off balance, which is a huge plus for her when attacking the basket and scoring or dishing off the dribble. Her body control after contact looked good, as did her HEZ in transition, but she saw the floor and handled the ball under pressure; she showed she could drop the jumper while being defended, and she did a good job defensively
