Evans was hard to handle, so let me start with she’s a “long and athletic” guard with a nice first step that sets the defender up so she can score off the dribble. Her court vision looked good across the board, but watching her rebound and go coast to coast and score was nice, so was her “on the ball” pressure, which included picking pockets, and she played the passing lane

She is an electric point guard with excellent handles and eyes in the back of her head with her exceptional passing. Super quick and athletic, able to slash to the rim, and either distribute or score. Only a sophomore, watch out!

Evans was a standout at that same Prep Girls Hoops Freshman Showcase and her performance at #DuelForTheDynasty JUST DID IT for me. She does a very good job of keeping the defender guessing because if you play her too tight, she blows by you, if you give her too much room, she drops the jumper but her body control on her finishes, especially after contact is very nice

Evans was a GAMECHANGER at last season’s PGH Freshman Showcase yet everything I mentioned about her in the article, she has taken it to another level. I love how she sets the defender up to attack the basket and staying under control while being pressured in the open court was also nice to see yet her dishing off the dribble as well as threading the needle in traffic from 15 feet away was very nice. Body control after contact is better, she even gave me an acrobatic finish plus that “stop and pop” is going to create big problems for defenders
