Akoi is one of the more intriguing long-term prospects in South Dakota’s 2027 class. At 6-foot-2 with exceptional length and fluid athleticism, she possesses natural defensive tools that will give her a big advantage as she moves towards the next level. Alual is an outstanding shot blocker who uses her wingspan, timing and mobility to protect the rim and disrupt opposing offenses. She also runs the floor rather well for her size. Offensively, her skill set is a work in progress, but continued improvement and increasing strength suggest considerable upside. Players with her long, lean frame usually develop significantly as they mature physically. With continued instruction, repetition and development, Akoi has the potential to become a highly effective frontcourt player beyond high school.

Alual has special physical attributes as a 6’1″ post player who can move. She follows in the footsteps of several talented siblings who took their games to the college level. A high ceiling is an understatement for a plus six-foot athlete who understands the game and stands to get vital experience for one of the most consistently successful high school programs in the state in Sioux Falls O’Gorman. She finishes well on the inside, rebounds hard on both ends, and has shot-blocking instincts to alter the mentality of opposing offenses. Big things to come for the talented Knight center!
