Cayleigh wasn’t on many people’s radars a year ago, but I think she will be one of the more sought-after small college post prospects this grassroots season. She has good size & strength, she plays with a relentless motor, and she is willing to do a lot of the “little things” other girls just aren’t. She has some skill and solid post moves around the paint, she even possesses some touch in the mid-post, but she might be best at taking second chance opportunities (offensive rebounds) and finding ways to score them.

Cayleigh could very well be an important newcomer for the Lady Tigers this year following the graduation loss of Brooke Winchester. Cayleigh is a strong and physical front-liner who plays with an outstanding motor. She makes a lot of hustle plays for her teams, tracking down loose balls, rebounds outside of her area, plus she rim-runs with good energy. Over the last couple of years, she has done a nice job of improving her back-to-the-basket post moves, plus she has improved her touch in the mid-post. Keep an eye out for her this year.

Cayleigh is on a talented and somewhat deep Warsaw team, but she might get more opportunities this coming season because of her size/strength. She has a solid to strong frame, a little length, but it’s her willingness to seek contact, and to do so with a great motor. She battles inside, rebounds and defends with effort, but she has also shown flashes of some mid-post skill, and she has solid footwork and nice, soft hands around the block. “Sleeper.”

Warsaw was very good this Winter, and while Cayleigh wasn’t one of the biggest names on their roster, she is a really nice interior prospect who has value as a small college prospect. She is strong, physical, and hard-working. She almost always outworks her matchup from the other team. She is a solid rebounder, defender, and she’s an opportunistic scorer who moves well inside without the ball. Look for her to play bigger roles moving forward.

Cayleigh stood out to me almost immediately because of her relentless motor at her size. She is a big, strong, powerful, broad-shouldered post prospect who isn’t afraid to create contact. At the same time, she runs the floor hard, boxes out with physicality, and even dives on the floor and does a lot of the little things. She showed a little skill offensively, but I saw a guard dominated game, so I’ll be curious to see what she can do with a dozen touches per game. She adds to an already deep and talented Warsaw roster this Winter.
