The May Live Period is quickly approaching, and plenty of kids from Wisconsin are in games all over the country. Most kids are attempting to earn a spot on a roster at the next level to continue their basketball journey. Today, I want to highlight some prospects coaches should see this weekend if they're in the same facility.

[player_tooltip player_id='653806' first='Rayna' last='Welsch']

I've been impressed by how well Welsch has finished around the rim since I first saw her a few years ago in Nebraska. She's always had excellent touch around the rim and put it all together this season at Eau Claire Memorial. She played well in the Old Abes frontcourt and helped reach another Sectional Semifinal. She's undersized for a post at 5'11, but she can be what a small school needs out of the post. Welsch and her [program_tooltip program_id='713205' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'] group will be in Ames, Iowa, for May Madness.

[player_tooltip player_id='448295' first='Abby' last='Hollis']

State heroics aside, Hollis is one of the better shooters in the state. She's always been someone who can make shots in bunches. She's also been better at making shots off the dribble when she can create space than I've probably given her credit for. Her shooting alone is worth a look from small schools in the region, but she's someone coaches will want in their building. Her Wisconsin Elite team will be in Minnesota for Live at the Lakes.

[player_tooltip player_id='767268' first='Emily' last='Gomez']

Gomez may be the most underrated guard in Wisconsin's 2025 class. I thought she thrived at Kettle Moraine. Gomez even made Classic-Eight All-Conference First-Team. That may not sound as impressive in writing, but that team includes five of the eight players with scholarship offers or significant scholarship interest at the next level. Gomez was that good this season and should be on the radar of every small school looking for guards, and regional D2s who need a guard should know her name. Gomez will be in Minnesota for Live at the Lakes.

[player_tooltip player_id='528121' first='Jaden' last='Ciesielczyk']

Teams can't have enough guards who fly around and create extra possessions for their team. I've liked the value she adds as an off-ball guard who guards the more athletic guards on the other team. The De Pere guard is a kid whose athleticism and toughness may catch a coach's eye based on the effort she plays with on both ends of the floor. Ciesielczyk will be in Iowa for Battle of the Best.

[player_tooltip player_id='375953' first='Aubrey' last='Leonard']

Everywhere Leonard has been, success has followed. After a few years at two AAU programs, three trips to state title games at Laconia, and countless wins at the youth level, we can say that the way she plays is congruent to winning games. Leonard is responsible with the ball in her hands and has been trusted with the ball to make plays late in close games. I love what she does and expect some WIAC programs to kick the tires on Leonard this offseason. Leonard will be in Iowa for Battle of the Best.

[player_tooltip player_id='842209' first='Aspen' last='Abel']

Every year, a kid comes out of the blue and knocks any expectations out of the water. This year, that kid is [player_tooltip player_id='842209' first='Aspen' last='Abel']. The Notre Dame wing has shown ball-handling skills, made shots all spring, rebounded well, and has shown some athleticism in transition. I did not have her as a scholarship lock a year ago. However, Abel's proven she is in a few short months this Spring with [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces']. Her [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] team will be in Michigan for The Smoke in Grand Rapids.
