There were several talented players and teams in Chicago this weekend who caught the eye of the PGH scouts in attendance. Here are some I saw Saturday afternoon at the Centre of Elgin. One more big day of hoops remaining on Sunday!

Emoni Spencer - [program_tooltip program_id='834910' first='Example' last='Sports'] 2025 Black

She does an excellent job with her length on deflections. Plays in the middle and makes it tough to get the ball over her. Keep things under control in the paint defensively. With her athleticism playing a huge part of her game, she excels in a fast-paced style of game.

Makyla Woods - CC Cougars 2025

Very impressive on-ball defender, she is everywhere. Super quick hands, active defending the baseline. Puts pressure on her opponent! Made an immediate impact on the game, was so impressed with his poised she played the game, all while she crated havoc with her swarming pressure.

Sam Poole - CC Cougars 2025

She runs the floor well, finishes with good strides to the rim. Scrapper, has a nose for where the ball is. Stays with the play, her effort doesn't go unnoticed. Not a flashy player, but effective. Sam provided much to her skillset, but a good summer of hard work in the gym will transcend her game even more.

Maddie Locke - [program_tooltip program_id='712517' first='Full' last='Package'] 3SSB 2027

Maddie comes from one of the better programs in the Midwest, she is a good floor general, always focused with good hands and an active defender. Super athletic which leads to a successful floor game on both ends of the court. I like her court vision and her ability to play the game fast.

[player_tooltip player_id='913073' first='Saniah' last='Jones'] - [program_tooltip program_id='712484' first='Della' last='Lamb'] 3SSB

This was the first time I have seen this team from Kansas City, they are fundamentally sound for a team of middle schoolers playing up. She is a very productive Inside/out player. She's extremely active on the floor. Can guard multiple positions and plays the game very physically. Good head on her shoulders and a smart basketball player. Strong finisher!

[player_tooltip player_id='880235' first='Gyneen' last='Ali']- Illinois Lightning Silver

She has good court vision, does a good job distributing the ball to the right scorers. She does a nice job help side defense, good court sense and awareness. A pass-first point guard. Didn't get to see much shooting while I was there, but you can tell by the way she distributes, that is her strength.
