The Coverage Club Includes Multi-Sport PGH Ranked Athletes

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Get out your swords and shields, it is Captain Conan Time!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Captain has spent the bulk of his past week scouting summer volleyball competitions and continues to come across multi-sport prospects from Kansas athletes in various gyms.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This newest edition of the “Coverage Club” Prep Girls Hoops features four athletes who are prospects in multiple sports.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='918826' first='Juanita' last='Puentes']</strong>, 5'2”, PG, Southwestern Heights, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Puentes is a multi-sport prospect for the Mustangs. She averaged 8.5 points per game during her junior season. She is a 62 percent shooter from the free throw line and was able to grab 4.2 rebounds per contest in 21 games played. Puentes is currently ranked No. 178 overall in the Prep Girls Kansas class of 2025 rankings. She also competes in volleyball and softball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='675833' first='Katie' last='Johnson']</strong>, 5'11”, PG, Doniphan West, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another solid multi-sport prospect is Doniphan West's Johnson. She is currently ranked No. 168 overall by Prep Girls Hoops. She is an athlete who can control the action in the paint. She plays well with her back to the basket and has the reach to be a board monster. She also plays for the Mustangs volleyball team and recorded 344 kills and 64 total blocks in 80 sets played during her junior campaign.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='621240' first='Liza' last='Dugan']</strong>, 5'6”, SG, Bishop Carroll, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Girls Hoops as Carroll shooting guard Dugan ranked No. 40 overall in the class of 2026. Dugan has a pretty jump shot and is a fast prospect. She is also an elite soccer player for the Golden Eagles.  She plays club soccer with FC Wichita Academy. I have not spoken with Dugan, but all signs on her social media accounts are that soccer might be her college sport of choice.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='621258' first='Suttyn' last='Harris']</strong>, 5'11”, CG, Inman, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harris is a dual-sport prospect currently ranked No. 31 overall by Prep Girls Hoops. Harris can flat-out jump and defend on a basketball court, but her future is on the volleyball court. She is currently ranked No. 1 in the class of 2026 by Prep Dig Kansas and ranked No. 131 nationally by Prep Network. She is a kill-machine and in my opinion, a slam-dunk Division I prospect as a Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
