I like Jaycelyn’s game and her ability to do a little bit of everything. She can shoot, defend, and is a good passer in her own right. She also rebounded the ball with all her might, going after every missed shot. Jaycelyn plays the game the right way, and good things tend to happen when she is on the floor.

When a team needed a big play, Jaycelyn seemed to deliver it. Whether it was knocking down a timely three, making the extra pass, grabbing a huge rebound, or coming up with a momentum-changing block, she impacted every phase of the game. Her basketball IQ and ability to make the right play over and over made her one of the true glue players at Run 4 the Roses.

Jaycelyn put together one of the most complete weekends in the gym. She caught fire from deep and consistently stretched defenses, knocking down shots with confidence. On the defensive end, she was just as impactful, using her length to disrupt passing lanes and contest everything. What really stood out was her feel. She made the right reads, delivered sharp passes, and controlled the game with her IQ. She showed clear next-level ability all weekend.

Jaycelyn Nevitt Jaycelyn Nevitt 5'9" | CG Meade County | 2028 State KY is quietly putting together an impressive sophomore season for Meade County, averaging a team-leading 12.7 points per game while shooting 40% from three-point range and 90% from the free-throw line. A lethal shooter from deep who can manipulate the defense with her range, while also showing the ability to put the ball on the deck and attack. Nevitt also sees the floor well, puts her teammates in position to score, and competes hard on the defensive end. She looks poised to continue putting people on notice as the season moves along. I really like Jaycelyn’s game! She is a volume shooter that can connect from the mid-range and from three. I was impressed with her ability to stop and pop on the fast break and the body control she showed on a “And 1” play. I like how active she was on defense as well.
