Scott may not have enjoyed her best shooting day when I watched on Saturday, but it hardly mattered. The Lyman guard impacts the game in many other ways and can be relied up to conjure up a big play when her team needs it the most.  She plays with a brisk, attacking style that forces opponents to react from the opening tip. As a lefty with length, bounce, and terrific body control, Jordyn creates challenges defenders aren’t often accustomed to. Scott has excellent court vision. Her eyes are constantly scanning, searching for teammates, cutters, and openings before they fully materialize. She delivers sharp passes, pushes tempo, and seems comfortable making plays at full speed. The jumper will always be part of the conversation because it’s fundamentally sound, but her complete floor game is what makes Jordyn special. Scott is a dynamic talent with high upside.

Scott is a physically gifted guard with the type of size, length, and athleticism that every college coach is looking for seven days a week. At 5’11 with a reported 27-inch vertical, she combines natural tools and feel for the game with a hard-earned skillset that serves her well. Scott handles the ball well, reads the floor effectively, and makes smart decisions from the point. Her quick first step allows her to beat defenders off the bounce, and she finishes well through contact. Jordyn can also stretch the floor with her shooting range. Defensively, she uses her length and mobility to guard multiple positions. As her game continues to develop, Jordyn is putting it all together.

Jordyn has all of the physical attributes needed to succeed at the high school level and beyond. She has some of the most impressive length in this class and quickness to go along with it. A solid ball handler she can operate the point guard and makes good decisions with the ball. She reads the floor well and is nearly impossible to stop if you give her a step as she will blow by her defender and get to the rim in a hurry. A good finisher and a solid shooter from deep as well she keeps defenses honest and draws a lot of attention. On defense she has the quickness and length to guard multiple positions and is a competitor who will do what it takes to help her team win.
