Six players on Saturday stood out as the Top Performers in the 15U this past weekend at Battle in the The Sunflower event. My counter part Robert knows these young players and I am guessing maybe even already covered them. I enjoyed covering the 15u group and seeing some new young talent I look forward to now following their high school careers. Tag me with those highlights or videos on X or IG and I will definitely check you out. Good luck rest of summer

Used her body and feet to create a good passing lane for the guards to feed her the ball. Shot the ball at a very high percentage Saturday. If I had to say a number it would be high 60%-70% Nice soft touch off the glass around the rim.

Defensively physical and holds her ground against the much taller post. The thing I really liked was that she was a wall not leaving her feet committing those unnecessary fouls on shots A potential double double every time she touches the floor

Strong PG that can take the contact in the open court without turning the ball over. A deep 3 point shooter with range. It created gaps as team must come out and defend the range. As mentioned a physical guard that gets to the paint drawing contact for the And 1.

On defense she could be the leading PG rebounder in the event if there was such a category. A rebounding point guard that needs no outlet to start the break

A forward that got out and ran the floor on breaks looking for the up the floor pass. In the half court set she was always moving without the ball having active hands. Nice soft finishes around the rim shooting at a high percentage.

Defensively physical enough to defend the block but quick enough to be on the front of the zone press. Smart player that play hard on defense in the paint and yet stayed out of foul trouble the two games I watched

[player_tooltip player_id='875146' first='Jakira' last='Vaughn'] 5'5 Broken Arrow HS Class 2027 OYGAn very athletic player that is skilled enough to play the 2 through 4 position on the court. Aggressive downhill driver from the wing or baseline usually resulted in a layup or foul. Listed as a shooting guard and showed those capabilities by knocking down several outside shots.

Defensively has great lateral movement in the full court press. Quick hands in half court defense getting many deflections. A strong rebounder that used athleticism to come out of the paint area to grab a rebound.

[player_tooltip player_id='1252320' first='Sophia' last='Beltran'] 5'5 Victory Christian School Class 2028 [program_tooltip program_id='716211' first='Team' last='Griffin'] A extremely quick point guard that pushed the tempo with the dribble and up court pass. Great vision and nice decisions in transition and half court offense sets. Nice outside shot with range beyond the 3 point line. What was Impressive on her drives is that she had body control and created the space needed to keep it from getting block

A defensive player that hunts that the ball in the press and is willing to get on the floor for the steal. A 2028 that could get playing time as a freshman next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='926772' first='Grace' last='Ostmeyer'] 5'10 Salina Central Class 2027 [program_tooltip program_id='917083' first='SSA' last='Girls Hoops'] Guard that does a great job moving without the ball in the offense. Understands how to read the defense in the 5 out set. Several times she curled and other times popped out to the top of key. Always looking for the ball on the curls with hands ready to catch and finished. Showed outside range on the drive and kick hitting several 3'sn. The points came within the offense and were not forced.
