Here are four prospects out of the state of Nebraska that are going to be called upon this Winter to step up in big ways.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

[player_tooltip player_id='766759' first='Kinzley' last='Hess'] might only come in right around 5'5 in height but her production speaks much bigger than that. Last year as a Junior, Hess averaged 11.8 PPG on 36% shooting, including averaging 4.1 RPG, 4.1 APG, and 4.2 SPG. You want to talk about a prospect that is underrated out of this 2025 Class in Nebraska? Look no further. Not only did Hess average double-digits while helping her team to a positive 15-5 record, she did that and had impressive numbers averaging over 4 RPG, APG, and SPG, all season long. If that doesn't stand out to anyone watching or checking the box scores, I'm not sure what will. Hess can play and if she finds her perfect fit at the next level, she could also produce on that type of floor as well in the right circumstances. She just needs a shot and the rest will be history.

It's going to be hard to top what Sidney High School did last season with how well their year went, all the way up until the State Championship Game. Throughout the year, they went an impressive 26-2, putting together one of the best records in the State, no matter if they brought home a title or not. One of their constant contributors at the Guard position, that will be back to try and help the Red Raiders run it back is [player_tooltip player_id='374644' first='Jordan' last='DeNovellis']. I didn't have a chance to see DeNovellis compete with her State 38 Black AAU team out of Colorado this AAU season but if she competes like she did last season in any facet, she is going to produce while helping the others around her get better. DeNovellis was good for just over 10 PPG a year ago and I expect this to be her most memorable season to date. This is the type of prospect that doesn't force action, understands her opportunities, and she does the little things that help her teams piece together important moments throughout a contest. So as long as they can play as a unit, it should go well but we will just have to wait and see.

Raymond Central High School ended off their 2023-2024 High School season with a 13-10 record, eventually losing to the future State Champs in their Class in Lincoln Christian. One of the more important pieces of this group for the past three seasons and looking into this Winter is going to be PG, [player_tooltip player_id='316650' first='Taylor' last='Oldfield']. Oldfield is coming off of an AAU campaign with her Nebraska Laser Supreme program and she is looking to build on that. From everything I've seen, Oldfield has a quick first step, better than average vision, and a positive attitude. She is at her best when she is getting downhill and attack her initial defenders hips, opening the floor for herself to have endless possibilities once she gets by. Most of the prospects from a year ago on the roster will be retuning this season so it'll be nice to see what they can put together after a respectable season a year ago. As for Oldfield, keep an eye on this group and what she can do. If she competes to her full potential, she is going to surprise a lot of others watching this Winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='928978' first='Eryanna' last='Marshall'] of Benson High School is going to have a lot of opportunity this next eight months to prove herself as a prospect that needs to stay on the floor for her Benson group to be successful. Last year as a Sophomore, Marshall didn't see the Varsity floor for 3/4 of her team's games but the one's she did get in for, she made an impact in. Moving into this Winter, the Varsity group for a year ago will lose basically half of their roster and most of their producers due to graduation, so it's going to be up to the underclassmen to step up and make their mark. In Marshall's game, she just needs to play to her strengths and keep it simple. If she does that and trusts in those around her, everyone is going to see success in their own ways as they win as a group. That's for sure.
