About Dakari

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a high energy, aggressive style, excelling in transition and defensive intensity. I work hard to be a versatile scorer who attacks the rim with confidence, I can knock down mid-range shots, and shoot the 3 point shot. I use my quickness and hustle to become a disruptive force on defense, creating turnovers and fast-break opportunities for my team. I also can pass well, & lead the offense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I feel that I have a relentless and fearless mentality on the court. I embrace challenges with confidence and determination under pressure. My competitive drive pushes me to give 100% every game for my teammates. Off the court, I have been known for my charismatic and uplifting personality. I am a team first player who brings energy and positivity to the locker room, motivating others.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am happy to announce that I am a member for the Houston Lady Roadrunners AAU Basketball Team (2029), NJHS - National Junior Honors Society, and proud member of The New Mt. Calvery Missionary Baptist Church. I have received several awards over the years for Academic Achievement, Leadership Awards, and also Athletic Awards as well.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leading by example with my work ethic, intensity, and ability to stay composed in high pressure situations. Teamwork is very important, I understands how to elevate those around me, by making smart plays and communicating effectively to keep the team united. Beyond basketball, I am also committed to community service. I take pride in giving back, helping others younger than me.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In this game there are many challenges. Whether it’s dealing with life expectations, proving myself against tough competition, or balancing academics with athletics, this has developed my resilience and perseverance. With the support of my parents and coaches, I’m blessed to go through and have the mindset to never give up. Continue to grow and strive to improve beyond limits is my goal.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that offers a strong basketball program where I can contribute to the team continued success while also receiving a high quality education. A school with a competitive athletic environment, strong coaching staff, and a team culture that aligns with a high energy, team first mentality. Academically, a college that supports with resources for students in the classroom and career paths.

She understands how to set the defender up with a nice first step to get by them and solid body control on her finishes, yet she also showed good court vision across the board. Her pull-up jumper, “stop and pop” included, is a problem, and her “on the ball” pressure looked good
