SD 2020 Top 20
- Emma Ronsiek– Committed to Creighton University last year, the O’Gorman Knight is our #1 Ranked player in South Dakota. Ronsiek, already has the skill set of a polished collegiate player.
- Madysen Vlastuin– Coach AJ and his staff at South Dakota State University can’t wait to get Vlastuin on campus. She fits perfectly with the Jackrabbits mold of six footers with near perfect mid-range and three point range.
- Kyah Watson– Go Yotes! University of South Dakota probably got one of the best athletes in the state. Watson is as talented as anyone in the state. She will continue her dominance on the way to make RC Stevens a real champion contender.
- Morgan Hansen– Another USD commit, Hansen has elite level talent. Long, athletic and play from all three levels. One of the early favorites for player of the year.
- Abigail Phipps– Keeping up with the in-state talent by staying in state, Phipps improved every aspect of her game. The Augustana University commit really focused on her off season training.
- Rianna Fillipi– Rio can Go! Northern State noticed, hence the offer and a later commitment from Rio. She’s one of the most explosive players in the state.
- Brooke Brown– Brown’s coming off a solid summer. She recently committed to Missouri Western. Brown bounced back from a knee injury a few years ago. Now she looks like she never lost a step.
- Johanna Miller– GoGo is what her friends call her. Miller was the anchor on her summer squad. The 6’2 post from Brookings blossomed really well this summer. Another Augustana University commit, “GoGo” is poised to have a great senior campaige.
- Megan Fannin– The University of Sioux Falls snagged a walking, talking bucket. Fannin can score with the best of them. She filled it up even more over the summer season.
- Morgan Hammerbeck– Hammerbeck hasn’t committed yet, that door is still open. I’m pretty sure she has tones of suitors. The 6’0 wing/post from Winner is looking to help her team repeat as Class A State Champions.
- Hilary Albrecht– Albrecht had plenty of offers this past year, she decided to choose Dordt College out of Sioux Center, IA. The Defenders get just that, a great defender. Albrecht is a both sides of the ball type of player. She can put it in the hole and lock up on defense right after.
- Bailey Conrad– One of the best most improved players over the year. Conrad has taken strides to be a really great player. She is relentless when attacking the rim. Very nice bounce to her step, especially off the dribble. Committed to Concordia-Nebraska.
- Hannah Parsley– Another highly effective player who is still out on the market. Parsley has great basketball IQ and sneaky athleticism.
- Emma Osmundson– Osmundson is one of those duel sport athletes. Her ultimate collegiate path will go through softball, however she is hands down one heck of a ball player.
- Hannah Behrens– When you think of a strong inside presence, think of Hanna Behrens. She developed her game a bit more over the summer. Not only a force down low but now Behrens is able to step out to the arch and knock down shots.
- Madison Wuebben– Very effective shooter and slasher. Wuebben can get off any shot she wants.
- Brynn Alfson– Recently committed to Northern State, Alfson is a high energy player. She’s able to play multiple positions. Another player looking forward to a bounce back year.
- Reyna Beck– The Class B champ is coming off a solid summer. Her Pentagon Schoolers team made some noise up at the Nike Nationals in Chicago.
- Mya Wilson– Wilson is one of the best defenders in the state. She can guard roughly any position, except the five. Not being the tallest girl never hindered her ability to get after it. She plays like a loose Pitbull, and nobody like to see a loose pit.
- Macey Nielson– Heart, grit and no back down can simply describe Nielson. Last we heard of Nielson was that she had a few college visits set up and is close to making a decision. Whoever lands her will get one of the hardest working players in the class. We know she can guard multiple position. However, throughout the summer we notice her moving around in different spot on the offensive end.
