Deng-Gomez uses her impressive strength and footwork to create opportunities around the rim, which she often converts with her soft touch. She also is a natural rebounder with a nose for the ball and is in the right place at the right time on the defensive end to protect the rim. Last year, she was first team all-Valley Coast Conference as well as the conference's defensive player of the year, second team all-state tournament, and second team all-state.
