is a good ball handler, tough defender, and all-around hustler. Steen runs the offense and the floor for the Warriors. She can hit the catch-and-shoot three, pull-up for the middy off the glass, and finish with a strong take to the rim through contact. Steen is tenacious on the defensive end and slows the other team down. She anticipates the pass for the steal and can feed the runner or go herself to score in transition.

is one of the players to know in 4A, especially as she returns for her senior season on a Philomath team that will be a favorite to win it all. She was first team all-Oregon West Conference and second team all-state tournament thanks to her all around excellent play. She is suffocating defensively, especially at the front of the Warriors’ press, and on offense, her 5’11 frame combined with her skill and athleticism is hard to stop.

Steen does it all, averaging 9.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 steals, and 2.6 assists in conference, and she exceeded this in their tight 53-52 opening round win against Baker. She went for 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists in the big win. Expect big things from the junior forward in Forest Grove.
