Brittany Magee | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Brittany Magee is a Northern Virginia native, former high school and grassroots basketball coach, and current basketball scout with experience in player development, performance, and athlete advocacy. She coached girls basketball at Battlefield High School and Colgan High School, working closely with student-athletes on skill development, game preparation, and competitive growth. She also served as a Program Director within the Swarm Basketball organization, representing the state of Virginia in the Mid-Atlantic division. In that role, Brittany supported athlete development, coached multiple teams, and gained extensive exposure to high-level grassroots competition and regional talent evaluation. Brittany began playing competitive basketball at the age of nine and progressed through the youth, high school, and collegiate levels. She earned varsity letters in basketball and track at Bishop O’Connell High School while competing in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC). She later continued her basketball career at The Catholic University of America, gaining experience at the collegiate level. Currently, Brittany is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, bringing a performance-based lens to evaluating movement quality, strength, and overall athleticism. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from The Catholic University of America and an MBA from American University. Her work in digital marketing enhances her understanding of athlete branding, communication, and visibility within the recruiting process. Her evaluation approach emphasizes fundamentals, basketball IQ, effort, coachability, and long-term potential, informed by experience as an athlete, coach, and performance professional.
