George “GC3” Courtney III brings more than seven years of scouting and analysis experience to Prep Girls Hoops. With a coaching career spanning over two decades, he has worked at multiple levels, including recreational leagues, AAU programs, and middle and high school teams. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Coach and Director of Recruiting at Phoenix College. Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management from Grand Canyon University and a Master of Arts in Athletic Coaching Education from Ball State University. Courtney began his career as an analyst with Anthony Ray’s Arizona Preps, one of the nation’s top scouting platforms, eventually becoming its Director of Operations. He later launched GC3 Hoops, hosting tournaments, showcases, and camps in Arizona and Hawaii. Courtney is a respected basketball evaluator and analyst specializing in prospects across the West Coast, including New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Oregon, Washington, California, and Hawaii. His work has provided him with deep insight into the region’s talent pipeline, earning him a strong reputation within the grassroots and scholastic basketball communities.
