Jared Stansbury | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Jared Stansbury is a veteran sports journalist with more than 10 years of experience covering athletics at some of its highest levels. A native of Clarinda, Iowa, Jared graduated from Iowa State University in 2016 after a three-year stint as the intern at CycloneFanatic.com. Upon graduation, he was named the site's lead reporter for football and men's basketball, eventually serving as managing editor, for one of the nation's largest independent college news sites. In 2023, Jared, a standout high school player with a brief collegiate career, left the journalism world for a stint in other industries before finding his way into coaching and starting his own player development training business with his college roommate in July 2024. Jared lives in Bloomington with his dog, Lolo, and spends the vast majority of his time in gyms helping young people chase the best version of themselves.
