A.J. plays fluidly playing on or off the ball and she has the capacity to greatly influence the game when she has it rolling. As a lead ballhandler, Capenter uses change of heights well, keeping players guessing as she lets her dribbles carry her from one place to the other. However, its A.J.’s shooting that really moves the needle. She makes daring long-range shots that the defense just isn’t prepared for at times. Her sniper-like abilities were further proven after finishing a drill at Penn’s camp the other day where she made 15 3-pointers in 60 secs.

A.J. made an immediate impact in live play, scoring 16 points in her first game against Legends in Ohio with United NJ. She’s a relentless on-ball defender, applying pressure at half court and using quick hands to generate steals. In transition, her speed is a major weapon—once she gets going, she’s nearly impossible to catch. Offensively, she’s effective at getting downhill with one quick move and drawing contact at the rim.
