It’s hard to leave Maddox off a list like this. Prior to the start of the season, her positioning was deep in the back half of the rankings. The jump to becoming a top 25 player in the class just speaks to the type of year she’s had. Was Aaliyah just underrated in the past? That could very well be true, but the assertiveness shown as well as multiple dominant performances showed a player that’s improved tremendously. Maddox will be a feature name in ’28.

Maddox is undoubtedly underrated, but that’s something of the past now. It’s clear she’s one of the top players in the class and her ranking will reflect that in the next update. Maddox has next level talent written all over her. The handle in combination with tough shot making are what standout at first. She can knock down shots despite the presence of the defense and gets to the rim with her long strides with minimum dribbles if need be. Not only that, but her physical traits give her awesome defensive capabilities.

Aaliyah is a highly effective 2-way player that brought a ton of energy to the games. Maddox works well with others on the floor, but something that stands out is her ability to finish with both hands while retaining an exceptionally soft touch around the rim. She was solid on the defensive end and was able to pick up different players at various positions whenever the situation called for it. A daring rebounder that will surely bang down low to get a board. Overall, Maddox was a striking prospect that was an impact on the floor.
