About Aaliyah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a strong, physical center who plays with determination on both ends of the floor. I love battling for rebounds, protecting the paint, and finishing through contact. My focus is to bring energy, strength, and consistency every time I step on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m determined, kind, and hardworking. I always try to stay positive, encourage others, and give 100% effort. I believe in pushing myself to improve every day and doing what it takes to help my team succeed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m an honor student and take pride in keeping my grades high while balancing school and basketball. Academic success is important to me, and I work hard to stay focused and disciplined in the classroom.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Basketball has helped me develop leadership, communication, and teamwork. As a center, I’ve learned how to talk on defense, encourage teammates, and play with energy every possession. I also take pride in leading by example through effort and attitude.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is learning how to fully use my height as an advantage. Early on, I didn’t always know how to position myself or play strong inside, but I’ve worked hard to improve my footwork, balance, and confidence in the post. That growth has helped me become a more effective center and a stronger leader on the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a Division I program that pushes me to reach my full potential both on and off the court. I want to play for coaches who value hard work, discipline, and teamwork, and to be part of a program that feels like family while helping me continue to grow academically and athletically
