Dugan is a hardworking multilevel scorer and two-way play-maker that typically occupies the shooting-guard position. In what was the biggest upset at the 5A level, No. 12 Carlsbad defeated No. 5 Albuquerque High, 31-29. And the one who was leading the charge, was shooting-guard Abbey Dugan Abbey Dugan 5'9" | SG Carlsbad | 2025 State NM .
The 5’9″ senior posted a game-high 22 points with 14 coming in the second half. What’s more, Dugan went a perfect 8/8 from the foul-line.

Dugan is a play-maker for Carlsbad that is comfortable playing both off-ball and on-ball. The 5’9″ shooting-guard is a capable scorer off the bounce who can get to the charity stripe often.
Defensively, Dugan can guard multiple positions. The senior anticipates well, especially the skip-pass and has active hands.
Dugan should resume her role as the Carlsbad’s no. 1 option in the half-court in 2024-25. The question is, can Dugan lead the Cavegirls past the Round of 16? Stay tuned.
