shoot the ball a few times to understand that she is the definition of a knock-down shooter off the catch from distance. Hobart makes it look effortless. When she catches her feet are square to the hoop, she is sunken in her stance, and her hands are ready to let it fly. Those are just a few tell tale signs that you have someone that can shoot the basketball. When you consider that and the fact that when she lets it go, it looks picture perfect every-time, you start to realize what you are looking at in real time. All the opportunities that I saw Hobart take this weekend, she converted on and that was noteworthy.

Stagg will be in great hands next year, but heading into the summer, Lady Lightning has another standout guard who can turn heads. Hobart does so much without doing too much. She can be an offensive force or play off the ball and be a terror on defense. This kid has a strong future. Get Abbey’s summer schedule ASAP.

Last week, as a three year varsity starter, Junior Abbey Hobart reached the 1000 pt milestone in our holiday tournament opener. The following game (the same day), Abbey tied our schools record for most points scored in a game at 37. The next day, Abbey followed up with a 36 pt performance.
In four games, Abbey ended notably with 110 pts, 11 assists,-!; 18 rebounds.

Hobart has had a strong start to the season and has been the main focal point for her school. She has a lanky and lengthy frame that allows her to be super effective from all areas of the game. She’s a top 75 kid in this class, and it wouldn’t surprise me if, by the end of the year, she took a major leap into that top 50 category.

Hobart was one of the top shooters in the building today. The release is quick, and the form gets the job done. Her ability to stretch the floor allowed her to get to the rim, where she could either finish or make plays off the kick.
