Abbie is a junior who has committed to Marshall, she has an outstanding strong physical frame, which not only allows her to score at the rim against contact, she also has good range from the perimeter, can put the ball on the floor with good footwork, finish mid range and she does a great job on the boards. As a sophomore she led Ohio in scoring and now as a junior, she’s averaging over 25 per game.

Her team is off to a great start with only one loss, and Abbie’s game continues to dominate in her region. She’s not shy to put the rock up, has good range, excellent moves and footwork in the paint and she’s averaging a double double. She’s heading to Marshall and she is in consideration for this award.

Strong and physical kid who has verballed to Marshall. Strong hands, able to maneuver her way into the paint and score at the rim. Also showed the ability to hurt you from the free throw line as she can play through the physical play and get chances at the line. Keeps getting better.

The future Marshall University forward has such a high ceiling! Knapp is used to being double and sometimes triple teamed- but it doesn’t phase her. Abbie keeps the ball high, and protects it! She is heating it up from deep! A complete package baller that is a major headache from multiple positions! Unstoppable force!

Abbie brought a different style of play to The Roses that coaches aren’t used to seeing. It’s no secret Abbie can score many ways with a ball in her hand but what stood out this weekend was her ability to create scoring opportunities for her teammates. She also showed she can defend both inside and out, played extremely physical and was able to create steals which led to assists in many possessions. Abbie showed she’s not just one dimensional.

She possesses powerful hands which allows her to take care of the ball, can control the boards with solid defense and rebounding, and is a big-time scorer at the rim. She has a solid foundation, and a skill set that indicates she is getting better and improving her game. When she grabs a rebound, she takes off down the floor and looks up at her open teammates for fastbreak points. Very strong with the ball when she’s under pressure and finds ways to get to the rim. Knapp will be moving up to number 9 in the rankings.

Her game has really evolved as she just finished a very successful sophomore season where she led Ohio in scoring at around 28 per game. Strong physical presence with good hands in the paint. Can also knock down the long range shot. Outstanding moves in the paint, finishes strong. Also has a knack to defend, as she continues to add to her game.

It all starts with Abbie in this part of Ohio when looking at underclassmen. The sophomore has really developed her game and added to her tools. Bigitme scorer at the rim, she has strong hands and is able to control the boards with rebounding and defense. She is averaging 28 points and 13 boards per game, and is focused on becoming the best player she can.
