“Abe” could be one of the better kept secrets right now as far as small college prospects in 2028 go. She has good lower body strength and does a nice job of playing compact and protecting the ball. She also has broad shoulders, plus length, and she’s a solid all-around athlete. She’s one of those prospects who could be a full-time point guard in the long run, but she’s such an effective multilevel scorer, that Monroe Central wants to get the ball in her hands in positions to score. She averaged 15.7p/3.8a/4.0s as a Sophomore.

Known as “Abe”, she is another of the highly under-appreciated guards this state possesses…when you have a plethora of players at one or two positions, it’s easy to get “lost”. Anyway, Abe is a fairly strong, fairly athletic combo guard who does a little of everything well. She is a nice all-around physical talent, she plays with a motor, and she can absorb contact (or dish it out). She is good at getting downhill and finding teammates or finishing it herself. She also has some touch around the perimeter. Defensively, she gives effort and is gritty, plus she will rebound her position.

Beware the Golden Bear! Monroe Central could find their way back into the rankings for the first time in several years behind a quintet of 2028s who were their Top 5 scorers this past season. I’m still not sure how they weren’t ranked at the end of the year at 21-3 overall. Anyway, “Abe” topped the list in scoring, but she also led them in assists and steals, plus she was second in rebounding. She is the total package at the Class 1A level and a tremendously difficult matchup. She is athletic, versatile, skilled, and she plays with a nice motor. I’d expect her recruiting to pick up soon enough.
