In this specific article, I wanted to create an All-East Central Indiana team of the Top 5 prospects from "Marion to Muncie/Anderson and out toward Richmond" heading into the 2026-2027 season. Below that list is an Honorable Mention section including one prospect from each high school in the area. All of these prospects come from schools in East Central Indiana, but more specifically, from the counties of Grant, Madison, Blackford, Delaware, Jay, Randolph, Henry, Wayne, Rush, Fayette, and Union.

.

Adah has been as consistent as they come and been among the top prospects in Indiana's 2027 class throughout her entire career. She has also done so by playing a position that is supposedly "extinct"...center. Adah is big, strong, physical, and skilled with either hand around the rim. She works hard, establishes herself early each possession, and makes it easier on her guards. At the same time, Adah can stretch defenses with her 3-point shot, her on-target passing, and her ability to use the dribble a little. She is a unique blend of size, skill, and multilevel versatility.

I can remember back to seeing Hallie during the Summer between her 8th Grade and Freshman year. She was an absolute blur then getting up and down the floor, and she has continued playing with that same outstanding motor. She is long, quick, fast, and athletic, but it's her hard work that usually gives her an advantage each game...plus she is quietly tough-nosed as well. She has a solid handle, she can run the offense or create off the bounce, and she's a consistent perimeter shooter. Lastly, she will defend with as much energy as anyone, she'll make hustle plays, and she'll rebound.

Nyomi came to Marion and gave the Lady Giants an immediate boost, after seeing the program struggle for a couple of years. Nyomi is tall, athletically strong, and versatile. She can handle the ball, initiate/run the offense, and act as a point forward type of prospect...her desired role. At the same time, she has worked on her perimeter shooting, she is becoming a multilevel scorer, and she is putting up big scoring numbers for the Giants. Defensively, Nyomi is still most comfortable in the paint, where she can utilize her size & strength to rebound and block shots.

Kendyl spent the first couple of seasons of her career playing with a strong trio of 2026 guards. They made her life easier because they filled it up outside, and they were able to break down defenses and drop it off to her for easy finishes. Now, don't get me wrong, Kendyl is very skilled for someone her size. Kendyl is tremendously skilled in the mid-post, where she can elevate over most defenders and knock down the 15-footer, or she can put it on the floor and get to the basket to finish. She is also stretching her shot to the 3-point line. Defensively, she uses her length to block shots.

Joining her sister, [player_tooltip player_id='756250' first='Hallie' last='Schwieterman'] (above), Karsyn is another talented guard who does a lot of everything. She is extremely long, wiry, fast, smooth, and somewhat bouncy. She is a shooter/scorer by nature, and she seems to always make plays in big games. She is assertive off the bounce, but she doesn't force the action either. The other thing I like about Karsyn is that she shares a similar motor to her sister, as she will dive on the floor and make hustles plays. She's also an excellent defender, and she is an effective rebounder, especially offensively.

HONORABLE MENTION:
Anderson - [player_tooltip player_id='751300' first='Ariah' last='Scott'] (2027)
Anderson Prep - Michelle Flores (2028)
Alexandria-Monroe - [player_tooltip player_id='1238597' first='Laela' last='Dietzer'] (2027)
Blackford - [player_tooltip player_id='1731966' first='Olivia' last='Murphy'] (2029)
Blue River Valley - Gwen Beavers (2028)
Cambridge City Lincoln - Reilynn Ferguson (2027)
Centerville - Kendall Nelson (2027)
Connersville - Kinze Van Meter (2027)
Cowan - Savannah Hall (2028)
Daleville - [player_tooltip player_id='751114' first='Olivia' last='Pratcher'] (2027)
Delta - Janiyah Johnson (2028)
Eastbrook - Nakylia Reason (2028)
Elwood Community - [player_tooltip player_id='1864435' first='Breelyn' last='Norris'] (2027)
Frankton - Addie Moore (2027)
Hagerstown - [player_tooltip player_id='1827723' first='Kenly' last='Ferriell'] (2029)
Jay County - Liz Brunswick (2028)
Knightstown - Lilly Drew (2027)
Lapel - Layla Dawson (2027)
Madison-Grant - Abby Winchester (2027)
Marion - [player_tooltip player_id='1144657' first='Jaylee' last='Townsend'] (2028)
Mississinewa - Ashlyn Baker (2027)
Monroe Central - [player_tooltip player_id='1327394' first='Aberee' last='Ervin'] (2028)
Muncie Burris - Rebecca Harmer (2027)
Muncie Central - [player_tooltip player_id='1215316' first='Kei'Maija' last='Hickey'] (2028)
New Castle - [player_tooltip player_id='751047' first='Carlee' last='Lanzer'] (2028)
Northeastern - [player_tooltip player_id='1818896' first='Mackenzie' last='Johnson'] (2027)
Oak Hill - [player_tooltip player_id='1678159' first='Brianna' last='Dailey'] (2028)
Pendleton Heights - [player_tooltip player_id='992140' first='Reagan' last='Reiff'] (2028)
Randolph Southern - Joselyn Smith (2027)
Richmond - [player_tooltip player_id='1690473' first='R'sirae' last='Nunn'] - Richmond (2029)
Rushville Consolidated - [player_tooltip player_id='992364' first='Lia' last='Bohn'] (2028)
Shenandoah - Gabbi Patrick (2027)
Tri - Maren Stevens (2028)
Union (Modoc) - Kenzy Ogden (2027)
Union City - Ava Reichard (2028)
Union County - [player_tooltip player_id='1810644' first='Brooklyn' last='Beck'] (2029)
Wapahani - [player_tooltip player_id='1690458' first='Nola' last='Baker'] (2029)
Wes-Del - Joy Toney (2029)
Winchester - Autumn Nebel (2027)
Yorktown - [player_tooltip player_id='949526' first='Olivia' last='Conklin'] (2027)
