Abi stretches the floor very well for Skyline. She stands at 5’10” and can play inside or outside just as smoothly. She has a quick release from deep that is VERY accurate, defenders can’t leave her open or she will make them regret it. Barquist can play in the paint too, being physical and not afraid to dive for loose balls and do the little things to get the win for her team.

Abi has been evolving her game in a big way, being more well rounded on both sides of the ball. She is a LIGHTS out shooter from deep, even when a defender is closing in on her. Defensively she plays with active hands and utilizes her length to get in the passing lanes and deflect the ball. She is going to have a big senior season for Skyline and should get more looks from 4 year coaches.

My notes kept reminding me that she can shoot it! She got really hot from three in one game. She scored consistently and was a solid rebounder for her team. She has some athletic skills and length to go with the shooting. She has the strength to play inside-out but was straight dropping buckets from three when I watched.

Abi has solid length, being able to play on the wing or down in the paint. She establishes her position in the paint well, using her strength to her advantage. Her soft touch around the rim results in easy buckets for her. She can pop out and hit the three ball too, being versatile on the offensive side of the ball.
