Tony Chapman | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
An absolutely crazy athlete for Class D-2, Spargo is one of the top athletes in Nebraska regardless of class. After, DCS survived their first round game with Loomis, she willed her team to their first-ever state title. In the Tigers championship game win over Wynot, Spargo had 22 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals. She ended the tournament with 49 points, 31 rebounds, 17 steals and eight assists. A likely track athlete at the next level — she won four medals as last year’s state meet — Spargo is worth a call for any college coach just to gauge interest. You never know, right?

One of the elite athletes in the state regardless of class, Spargo is a one player wrecking machine for the top-ranked Tigers. And, while she has loads of help she can take over a game at a moment’s notice. Her team has by far the best resume in Class D-2 this year and will put their 22-1 record on the line starting tomorrow. Spargo carries averages of 18.7 points, 9.5 rebounds, 5.3 steals per and 2.2 assists per contest. A top track athlete, Spargo may go that route in college but her all-around game should attract college hoops coaches as well.

Spargo is a dynamite athlete and one of the top players in Class D-2. She’s college athlete no matter what she decides, but it is likely headed toward track and field like senior sister Clara who is off to Northern Arizona. Abi is averaging 16.9 points and 9.4 rebounds for the Tigers as well as 5.3 steals per contest. Her all around game is built for the small college level if she wanted to go that route.

of Dundy County Stratton is going to be a name to watch out for as we move into the Playoffs in a short few months. Spargo is a killer against her competition because of her size and agile movement. Spargo stands right around 6’0 and she has a motor that most cannot match. Not to mention, she knows how to judge a rebound so well that she usually just makes easy work of anyone that tries to stand in her way. Spargo has had some respectable stat-lines so far this Winter. If she keeps working at this rate, she should have a few more before everything is said and done over the next few months.

was one of the highest scoring PPG prospects out of the 2028 Class over the last three months on the Varsity floor. Spargo, a 5’11 PF, usually has size, strength, and more coordination than those that she has to compete against. At Dundy County-Stratton, Spargo just looks the part of being the most dominant compared to others within her conference and that along with her soft touch make for a combination that produces against most. I would like to see Spargo against some other elite opponents but all in due time. She is working hard, controlling what she can and that’s all you can ask for.
