About Abigail

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am part of my Middle School's Peer Mentoring program. I am one of our peer leaders that leads conflict resolutions between peers. I have consistently had A/B Honor Roll. I have also received the Portrait of a Graduate Month Award- characteristics of what my school sees in students who will graduate from my school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned to stay organized, by myself, and be kind to others. Working with others such as my team and even during community service shows that I am able to be flexible with different people but still stay true to myself. I have learned to stay organized with all my responsibilities which shows me that I can handle things.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Anything that I have tried has been a challenge- any sport and school. Things to do not come easily to me, especially when it comes to school. It takes me a bit longer to understand concepts and skills, however, with my teachers and family, I have been able to stay on top of my work and advocate for myself. Although I need a smaller learning setting, it has not stopped me from being challenged.
