Brittany Magee | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Ruop’s elite size immediately impacts the game, especially as a rim protector. She alters shots, controls the paint, and forces offenses to adjust their approach. With improving touch around the basket, she continues to develop into a dominant interior presence.

At 6’9″, Ruop protects the rim on presence alone. Her length forces opposing guards to hesitate, turning aggressive drives into pull-up jumpers and pushing teams to search for answers from the perimeter instead of attacking the paint.
However, when opponents get brave and challenge the basket, Ruop becomes the great eraser.
Her ability to block, alter, and redirect shots doesn’t just stop possessions it reshapes offensive game plans. Furthermore Ruop forces teams to rethink spacing, timing, and shot selection. While constantly searching for ways to score without having to deal with her presence in the lane.
Ruop doesn’t just defend the rim; she dictates how the game is played around it.

At 6’9″, Ruop commands immediate attention on the court. Beyond her size, she possesses a smooth offensive game around the basket and finishes effectively with either hand. Strong enough to hold position on the block, she battles well on the glass and is not easily moved when securing rebounds. Defensively, her presence alone makes opposing teams hesitant to attack the lane. A natural shot blocker. Ruop uses her length to contest shots at the rim while showing the foot speed to step out and challenge on the perimeter.

Has elite size at 6’8 with a 7’4 wingspan and she can cover a space in the paint. An elite shot blocker and rim protector, she does a great job of tracking block shots when the opponents get to the paint. Still raw on the offensive end, but she has great body movement and control on the floor. With interest from schools all across the country it’s just a matter of time where she will spend the next four years at the power 4 level!

has gotten over the best year or so, and I think she is the most impactful interior defender in the state. She is a nationally-ranked talent because she wrecks opposing teams gameplans. She alters virtually every shot at the rim and always finishes the game with a handful of blocks. Abuna isn’t the strongest right now, but I am sure that will come the older she gets. You will see Abuna at a high-level D1 program contributing as an interior defender.

is 6’8, so naturally, you would expect her to be on here. I see her leading the league in blocks, and with how raw she is right now if she can pick up things mechanically on defense, she will be special. But for now, her length will make it near impossible for teams to be productive in the paint. Im excited to see what this season has in store for Abuna and where the improvements she’s made this summer will get her.
