How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a high basketball IQ, utilizing my ability to read the court and facilitate plays that results in points for my team. I am a versatile player on both sides of the court, where my quick change of speed and direction allows me to make a layup or rebound the ball and run it or pass it to move the ball. I have a strong work ethic and dedication to improve my skills to play at a college level.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am an analytical person, therefore, I have the ability to perservere in challenging situations. I understand I will make mistakes, but I am able to learn from it. I take constructive feedback and work on my weaknesses, so the next time you see me, it is my strength. I have a strong work ethic and very respectful of my peers and elders. I am usually quiet, but I am observing.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been playing the cello every since I was 4 yrs old. My current high school does not have an orchestra, so I continue learning with a private tutor. I am a member of the French Honor Societie. I have received recognition awards for being a polyglot.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Academics has always been a priority at an early age. I currently have a 4.0GPA and ranked 39/609 entering my junior year. I speak 4 languages fluently. I am able to utilize my language skills when I mentor and tutor in the community. My ability to be a team player and collaborate with my teammates usually results in successful plays.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I broke my right wrist in the 7th grade running backwards during a basketball game. It took a long time to work through my fear of falling if I ran backwards. Since basketball takes up 2 credit blocks, I have to take summer classes to get my graduation credits. I have to manage my time wisely in order to complete the AP classes, as well as prepare for tournaments during the summer.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to attend a college where I can major in Computer Engineering. I want to be able to finish my degree at that college. I do not want to jump around because of basketball.
