, and she has delivered in her senior year. She’s leading the Green Devils (one of the best mascots in the state, might I add) in points, rebounds, steals and blocks. Marcks’ double-double average of 16.9 points and 11.4 rebounds per game puts her at second in rebounds and seventh in scoring in the Top of Iowa Conference — stats I believe are worthy of post-season honors. Another aspect I like from the power forward is her ability to stretch the floor. Though she doesn’t shoot a lot of threes, she is shooting at a high level (almost 40% on the year). Well done to Marcks and her efforts as a veteran leader.

will have to play some of their best basketball to date. Marcks would be considered an undersized SF or more of a CG, depending on the situation and roster that is put around her. Offensively, she understands her back to the basket capabilities while being a sound finisher on either side of the basket. She can also work out of the Mid-post and attack with a dribble or she can jab-step and knock down an easy mid-range jumper. Defensively, Marcks always has a tough task of guarding bigger than herself it seems but she can also stick with someone who might be more of a guard-type player if need be. As you can tell, the versatile play style is there for Marcks. As long as she is used in a right way with that style by her coaching staff moving forward, they should see some positive results.

The power forward kept catching my attention with her tough physical inside play on defense and the multiple ways she scored on offense. At the forward position on offense, she did a great job of continuing to move her feet while keeping the defender from sliding over the top for the steal. Giving the target where she wanted the pass and having the good hands to catch for the finish. Scrapper on the offensive rebound that battled among the other post to gain those valuable extra possessions for her team.
A matchup problem I could see for some teams as Addison can shoot the 3-pointer and also has a nice smooth jumper from the 15 feet high post area. On defense you can tell that she must play some volleyball. The timing on the jump is just right for the block and it is straight up not fouling the shooter. A 2026 that brings a complete game at the power forward position.

Addison Marcus of Osage High School and Iowa United AAU only comes in around 5’9 but she competes with a chip on her shoulder and an aggressive attitude. These two things are what allow Marcks to have consistent success as an undersized forward. I guess undersized is a tough word but Marcks isn’t the tallest at her position so that means she has to be smart, crafty, and willing to get her hands dirty. All things that we saw this weekend with her play. Marcks was a surging force underneath the hoop, attempting to control any and all situations that might be happening in the painted areas. This is one of the first times I’ve seen Marcks compete for several minutes at a time on the floor at once and I like what I saw. If she keeps up this type of play, it’s going to translate big time come this upcoming Winter at Osage High School.
