The first word that came to mind when watching Addison Stallman Addison Stallman 5'5" | SG CR - Kennedy | 2028 IA play was motor. She brought aggression and energy every time she stepped on the floor for Cedar Rapids Kennedy. She has a strong first step that she used well on the defensive end — I really liked watching her play man-to-man defense. She does a good job to cut defenders off and force pickups without reaching, and was disciplined on closeouts and contests at the basket too. She was always in the mix for loose balls to and doesn’t shy away from guarding much bigger players. As a first-time starter this season, I anticipate Stallman will continue to bring this same aggression on the offensive end — I’m very excited to see her grow.

Stallman stands our for her versatility and well-rounded skill set. They were on display during Kennedy’s first three games of 2025-26, when the sophomore ranked among the Cougar leaders in most statistical categories. An ability to contribute wherever is needed at a given time makes her a valuable piece to her team. Stallman’s shooting form is smooth. She receives the ball in a shot-ready position and the release is quick. Looking comfortable all around the arc, Stallman likes to ding defenses from the corner pocket. Physical strength and toughness also are part of the repertoire. She can get to the rim and finish.

College players are always, always going to recruit players who can flat-out shoot the basketball, and Addison Stallman Addison Stallman 5'5" | SG CR - Kennedy | 2028 IA showed promise from deep last season for Cedar Rapids Kennedy. The freshman only attempted 29 attempts on the season, but was money from deep, converting 42% of those shots. As a sophomore I can only imagine her playing time (and attempts) will increase, and when that happens the Kennedy Cougars will have a serious outside threat on their hands. With senior shooter Ella Moser graduating last season Kennedy will need someone to pick up the slack from the outside, and I think Stallman can help fill that void.
