Addy, a guard for Team 5 coached by Tae, was selected as the team’s MVP after an impressive showing at the Alma Elite Camp. Addy competed in a different gym during the 5-on-5 portion, so I didn’t get the opportunity to see her in live action, but she certainly caught my attention during the skill work and drills. During the 4 Down and Alabama drills, she showed a strong ability to get downhill and score with ease, using her strength to create advantages. Defensively, Addy was a menace, applying pressure and making it difficult for others to get comfortable. She also shot the ball well during the shooting stations and displayed excellent footwork during the finishing portion. Coach Tae selected Addy as Team 5’s MVP following the camp.

She consistently disrupted opposing offenses with her on-ball defense, toughness, and ability to make plays on the defensive end. Addy also turned defense into offense, grabbing rebounds and pushing the ball coast-to-coast while creating opportunities for teammates with smart passes and timely assists. Offensively, she stretched the floor by knocking down shots from beyond the arc and stayed active on the glass by securing offensive rebounds and extra possessions. Her effort, versatility, and competitive mindset helped set the tone for HB Elite all tournament long.

Addy delivered an impressive showing for HB Elite 17U at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic. Her aggressive and strong takes to the basket resulted in multiple and-one finishes. Addy attacked gaps with a burst, went by defenders for layups, and didn’t shy away from contact. She’s physical, tough, and competes with a high motor.

She battled to secure offensive rebounds and wrestled for 50/50 balls on the floor. Addy finished a backdoor cut with a left-handed and-one layup through contact, then buried her free throw. She converted many shots from the charity stripe and swiped the ball away to score a floater in transition.

Addy is a guard I really enjoyed seeing for the first time during the summer at Michigan Team Camp and I was excited to see her again at Upside. She stood out with her fluidity and quickness during the shuttle test, worked hard to force missed shots on defense, and shot the ball very well during the Princeton offense segment. Addy swiped the ball away for a steal on defense during 5v5.

Addy was one of the most determined competitors in the gym Friday and led her team on the court. She drove hard to the rim and scored many finishes off two in the paint. Addy worked hard to secure offensive rebounds and hit the deck to battle for 50/50 balls. I had in my notes that she “gets to the free throw line a lot” and Addy converted her shots from the charity stripe at a high percentage. Addy handled the ball well under and is a Northern Michigan prospect to keep an eye on.
