Speedy in transition and a livewire in the mid-range in the halfcourt. Whitely carved up Newcastle all game. Had 21 points, on clean looks with her change of pace abilities setting her up in the mid-range. Or she lofted floaters and amde other tough finishes in traffic. When the defense did adjust to her, she showed the passing chops with 5 dimes. Complete game for the future Northeastern Oklahoma Lady Riverhawk and a step closer to the State Title.

A defensive terror. From on the ball pressure, deflections and more Whiteley is a problem for opposing guards. One time when a ballhandler was bothered by the pressure, she turned her back to Whiteley. Whiteley then pulled the chair and forced a turnover. Quick and crafty is the best way to describe her defensive acumen. Was more of a set up point guard early, but after getting a three to fall in the third she got more aggressive offensively to really close out the contest and add another trophy to the tradition rich trophy case at Fort Gibson.

When the Lady Tigers’ offense was struggling to find it’s rhythm early, the senior chipped in with big threes and other experienced plays. For example; even though she was one of the smaller players on the court, she crashed weakside to grab a board and get a putback. There was an early indication of strong theme of Whiteley being in the right place at the right time, as similar occurrences happened with steals and other loose balls. Late in the game, she consistently got to the free throw line to help maintain Fort Gibson’s edge. Her steady play from the lead guard spot is a great compliment to her team’s talented forwards.

I feel like Addy has been playing like a senior guard since the first time I saw her out there on the floor. She has always been mature beyond her years and her basketball is on a whole other level now. She is a floor general who is dedicated on the defensive end and college coaches have been picking up on her whole skill set as of late. She just picked up an offer from NSU and they probably can’t wait to have a player like her on the floor for them. She can score it, she can lock down her opponent, but more than anything, she is going to run your offense to perfection.

Addy is a floor general that controls the pace of the game and distributes the ball, has a high-basketball IQ and is a willing passer. She is deceptively athletic and has long arms. She uses her length the take the vision away defensively and is able make tough passes over the defense when in tough situations with the ball. She is a competitor and plays without fear on both ends of the court.
