If you are looking for a smart thinking PG, that can light the nets of fire in the blink of an eye, then you are looking for Addyson Luvan Addyson Luvan 5'1" | PG CR - Jefferson | 2027 IA of CR – Jefferson High School. This event brought in competition that will be playing at a D1 level in the future and Luvan did her job of standing out in her own ways. Offensively, she would either attack her defender coming down hill and get to her spot near the basket for an attempt or she would pass, move away from the play, an look for the ball in rotation for a three point attempt. From what I’ve seen as of late, Luvan is also someone that you can give the ball to and they can hold down your offense without turning it over at a noteworthy rate. Something you love to see out of someone who will have a bigger role this upcoming Winter with the J-Hawks.

There is a big question mark around CR – Jefferson for myself moving into this season because I am not sure where their underclassmen group is going to take things. This program is loaded with talent in the 2028 and 2027 Class, so their future will primarily be in their hands. An individual that stepped up in moments a year ago, who I’m excited to see once again this Winter is PG/SG – Addyson Luvan Addyson Luvan 5'1" | PG CR - Jefferson | 2027 IA . Luvan is one of the quickest out of the guards, she has a solid handle with an ability to create for others off the dribble, and she can shoot it at a respectable rate when given adequate time. Over the years, I have a feeling Luvan will turn into a PG, that can shoot it extremely well from deep. She already shows glimpses of that so as long as she continues to expand her game and works on her consistency, that’s what I see coming up in the near future.

As we move into the month of July, a prospect that has shown a lot of promise and dedication from the guard position in Iowa in this 2027 Class is someone that can make a difference because of her shooting ability and her ability to set up others for success with the ball in her hands. That prospect being Addyson Luvan Addyson Luvan 5'1" | PG CR - Jefferson | 2027 IA of Cedar Rapids – Jefferson High School. Luvan may be one of the shorter players in her Class but she makes up for it with her tenacity and quick trigger from deep whenever she lets it fly. Last season for the J-Hawks, this was someone that demonstrated what she could do, every time she took the floor. With her offseason work and her progress this AAU season, it’s not crazy to think that she will step into her teams main rotation and kill it this upcoming season.

One of the premier shooters for this team is Guard, Addyson Luvan Addyson Luvan 5'1" | PG CR - Jefferson | 2027 IA of CR – Jefferson High School. Luvan is a quick moving and fast thinking prospects, who brings positive and an edge to whatever team she is lacing up with. Over these past few seasons, she has really come into her own, showing everyone that this is only the start. Luvan can do a ton of positive things on the floor but her best ability and the ability that she is going to have to display at high rate over these next few months is shooting that thing from deep. She has demonstrated that she has a picture perfect shot form, while always having a balanced stance. It really doesn’t matter if it’s off the dribble or on the catch, if she has time and space, it’s going to be a good look for this group. Whenever a team with new players comes around, everyone needs to figure out how they fit within their system. I don’t think Luvan will have a problem with that. Whenever she catches, she will have the green light to let it fly and I understand why.

I am a firm believer that by the time she becomes a Senior, Addyson Luvan Addyson Luvan 5'1" | PG CR - Jefferson | 2027 IA of CR – Jefferson High School is going to be one of the best shooters throughout the entire state of Iowa. Luvan is a small guard listed a 5’1 but she demonstrates a superior ability to handle, pass, and shoot compared to most her age. As you would imagine, her game is FAST. She moves with a great pace coming down the floor, trying to use every advantage she can get in her personal matchups. Her offensive game is comparable to her play-style in general, fast. She lets the ball go quickly on shots, has a nice handle attacking the paint, and she isn’t afraid to mix it up with bigger players. Luvan has only seen the Varsity floor for three games so far this season but she is using that as motivation. When she does get into the game, she displays to everyone watching that she is going to be someone to know over these next few seasons out of the Cedar Rapids area.

Addyson Luvan Addyson Luvan 5'1" | PG CR - Jefferson | 2027 IA is going to come into high school as an underrated player with the ability to grow both physically, and in the game of basketball. Luvan is a quick guard, who is getting better year-in and year-out. Each season that she steps on the floor she seems to get better and better, showing steady and consistent improvement. I think once Luvan walks on the high school court and gets some confidence under her feet, she is going to be a game changer. A player that will consistently produce for her high school program, over the next few seasons, in more than one way. Now all she has to do is go out, trust in her work, and make it happen.

Addyson Luvan Addyson Luvan 5'1" | PG CR - Jefferson | 2027 IA has always looked up to her sister on the basketball court. Trying to replicate the elite skill she possesses while adding her own twist onto things that she sees fit. I would say that up to this point, she is doing a great job of that. Addyson is a combo guard right now. She has promising shooting ability all over the floor with the handling skill to move to the point guard position, if need be. At this moment I would say that she is more of a shooter but rapidly expanding her game at the same time. Over this spring/summer and into the the next few high school seasons I’m expecting Luvan to become a well-rounded ball handler that can control an offense, knock down a plethora of different types of jump-shots, and get her team a bucket when they need it the most. Currently she is on that pace and it’s exciting to see. I’ll be intrigued to see what height she grows to in the end but overall that’s not really going to matter as long as she is efficient in her scoring ability and an irritant on defense.
