Gourley was a consistent free throw shooter last Winter from the PG position. She ultimately shot the ball 222 times in 24 contests, converting 133 of those attempts. (59%) This is an impressive number in the sense that she got her shot in any way she wanted offensively for most of the year. I’m expecting more of the same out of Gourley this Winter. She is going to be looked at to be their main producer in multiple facets of the game so the more she can work on her weaknesses in the her off-time the better in the grand scheme of things.

The Danville Bears finished their season last Winter with a 15-9 record overall, 11-3 in conference. She only shot 9 three point attempts in their 26 games so that means she got all of her action as she went downhill towards the basket. Gourley was also looked at to rebound at a high rate. She finished the year with just under 7 RPG. Which is fairly impressive considering she is in-charge of doing everything else as well. This Winter should be a great one for Gourley. If she plays to her strengths, she is sure to put up some more convincing numbers in their success.

Gourley, a 5’7 PG, is the driving force this Winter for the Bears as they sit with a 13-8 overall record coming into their contest on Tuesday night. This is a player that not only talks the talk, she walks the walk. She is someone that leads by example with her actions on the court and that seems to motivate the others around her. As long as Gourley is having a good game, then Danville is still in it and that says a lot. Hopefully she can keep things rolling along against Louisa-Muscatine, helping her team move onto another Playoff Round later this week.
