Owenby just finished her junior season averaging 25.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 4.1 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game, all while shooting 50% from the field and 80% from the free throw line. Her individual game performances are hard to believe, like her 31-point, 10-rebound, 10-steal triple-double versus Ozark Catholic. She also put up 41 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 steals against Mountainburg.

Owenby is one of those players who can be placed all over the floor. She can post up her defender on the block, back her down under the basket, and score over her with ease. She can drive hard to the basket and finish through contact, even in the open court. And though Owenby’s 3-point percentage was not as high as one might expect, she can still catch fire from three thanks to her quick release and superb confidence.

Alaina Owenby Alaina Owenby 5'10" | SG/SF Lifeway Christian | 2027 State AR had a great sophomore season with Life Way Christian, and that success carried into the summer, where she picked up her first offer from Southwestern College.

Owenby averaged over 20 points per game last season, along with 7 boards. Scoring-wise, she can’t be stopped. She can finish at the rack, regardless of the defensive pressure, but she is even better when she has a look from beyond the arc. Her shot is pure, whether off the catch or off the dribble.

Owenby is obviously a good rebounder, as she displays her toughness and athleticism on backboards each night. She can also play some solid defense, proving that she is an all-around talent.

Alaina Owenby Alaina Owenby 5'10" | SG/SF Lifeway Christian | 2027 State AR had an incredible sophomore season for Life Way Christian, and she is set to repeat her efforts during the 2025-26 season.

Owenby is an automatic scorer who lit up the 2A classification with 23 points and 7 rebounds per game during the regular season. The small forward is a particularly strong 3-point shooter who is great off the catch and the dribble.

In addition to Owenby’s great outside play, she is a tough all-around contributor inside. She is a solid rebounder who uses her long reach and athleticism to her advantage.
