Fabrini is a very good combo guard and I knew that coming into the event and that’s exactly what she did- alternate playing the point and on the wing with her talented backcourt mates Delanie Doty and Ameera Kone. Fabrini was scored when the opportunity presented itself while also making the right decision and hitting open teammates as well. She was especially effective on the fast break where Alanna scored in one trip in two versus one situation and then driving, drawing, and then dishing to Asiana McCreary for an easy two. Fabrini has a high basketball IQ and knowledge of the game to go along with a very impressive offensive skills package.

Alanna Fabrini Alanna Fabrini 5'9" | CG Somerset Academy Canyons | 2027 State FL put together one of the most efficient stat lines of the day with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists, shooting 5-10 from the field and 4-5 from the free throw line. As part of Somerset’s guard rotation that shares ball-handling duties, she showed the ability to initiate offense and also score within the flow of the game. Fabrini’s combination of perimeter shooting, rebounding, attacking the rim and decision-making helped keep the offense balanced and productive.

Alanna Fabrini Alanna Fabrini 5'9" | CG Somerset Academy Canyons | 2027 State FL had coaches and fans confused at the Christmas tournament thinking that she was an 8th grader. It wasn’t long before everyone knew that was a just mistake in the books. Make no mistake about it – the high octane guard has the ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball. At the Inside Exposure tournament her defense led a comeback that highlighted her defensive tenacity. At the Christmas tournament, her elite skill level impressed every coach on press row. Fabrini can shoot it, get to the line, and score in transition in spectacular fashion. Her abilities are the ingredients that make up a recipe for a lifetime performance.

Alanna Fabrini Alanna Fabrini 5'9" | CG Somerset Academy Canyons | 2027 State FL was flat out “cold” blooded on the floor and delivered a masterpiece in the semifinals. Fabrini had three ball working from all over the court. Her drives to the rim resulted in pull up jumpers or dimes to her cutting teammates. Fabrini was exceptional in the transition game where she got to the rim at will. Her defensive bag was just as impressive as she got steals and turned into highlight reels.

Alana Fabrini played with savvy, pace control, and a high offensive IQ that immediately stood  out.   What was noticeable is that she constantly put the defense in conflict with her ability to attack downhill, stop on a dime, and score from multiple levels on the floor.    Fabrini had the float game working and also mixed in three point shots, mid-range shots, and multiple transition scores.     The junior  guard also played well on the defensive end creating pressure and forcing and coming up with steals and forcing turnover down the stretch.  Fabrini’s composure was  a separator.   When Somerset needed a spark, she delivered clutch play after clutch play- the definition of a standout prospect. 

Alanna Fabrini Alanna Fabrini 5'9" | CG Somerset Academy Canyons | 2027 State FL is one of the top three point shooters in the 2027 class and she has the ability to shoot off the catch or create her own shot. With Fabrini, it looks like it’s money as soon as it leaves her hand. She plays on a team with a lot of playmakers. It’s not a stretch that Fabrini could lead her district and beyond in three pointers – she is just that potent.

Alanna Fabrini Alanna Fabrini 5'9" | CG Somerset Academy Canyons | 2027 State FL is another “Alanna” on the squad who can turn out the lights on an opponent. Fabrini can shoot the three with a lot of consistency and is a sniper on the court. Her three point shooting sets her a part from a lot of prospects in the 2027 class. She missed some games last season, but is back with a vengeance. A full season next season could see and assault on the three ball between she and her teammates. And she will be instrumental in making that repeat run to Lakeland.

Alanna Fabrin knocked displayed a truly special shooting touch at the FABC Showcase. This past weekend, Fabrini let a confident three fly and hit nothing but the bottom of the nets. Her shot is smooth and she knows how to get her shot off. She is a perimeter threat that opens the floor for all of her talented teammates. She can also handle the ball and does a good job of passing the ball to teammates in rhythm. Fabrini will be a huge contributor to her team’s state title run next year. She connected on 45 threes as an 8th grader. She has the shooting ability to double that mark.

Alanna had to deal with an unfortunate injury during the school year, but she should be back very shortly on the court. Her handles, change of pace, and change of direction make her one of the shiftiest guards in this class. She can put up points in a hurry with her ability to shoot it from deep, hit the runner, or use tough moves to finish in traffic.
