One of the more surprising players listed here. It’s not because she didn’t have the capacity to be great on this end though. It was just that her offensive versatility started to showcase itself which elevated her overall profile. Alannah went from potential to serious production really quickly. However, this season Alannah made it her point to focus in on the defensive end and it must be stated that she’s been overly impressive on every level. Her activity on the wings, her timing as a help-defender plus her tendency to speed players up were on full display. Baehr was just named NEPSGBA Class B DPOY for her marvelous efforts.

Alannah is a 6-foot-1 guard whose tight handle and height make her a difficult matchup. She delivered a strong performance in her team’s regular-season finale, recording a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a nine-point win over Mount Saint Charles as her team entered the playoffs as the No. 2 seed. Her high release makes shots extremely hard to contest, and she keeps the ball moving when defenses collapse while using her length to swat shots.

CBC’s main attraction is Baehr right now. This is starting to look like a future star in the making. The possibilities of her game seem boundless. With what she can do already, she’s a tall task for alot of defenders to handle and she hasn’t even come close to reaching her celling yet either. Alannah has been covered extensively this year, for good reason too. She’s not just a budding talent anymore, Baehr has put it all together, making herself such a dangerous threat. Not only can she shoot the lights out, but Alannah has gotten comfortable with the ball in her hands, can play in transition, plus she offers some eyebrow-raising playmaking on the defensive side of the ball. It’s easy to see why she’s a popular name for school’s recruiting boards.
