About Aleah
Expert Analysis
Avi Burmenko | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Aleah earned First Team All-Group 4 honors and reached the 1,000-point milestone during her junior season while averaging 17.9 points per game. She’s been a double-double machine, averaging 10.2 rebounds over her career so far. She fights hard on the offensive glass to create extra possessions and, as a 6-foot guard, takes full advantage of mismatches with her size and strength.

Aleah turned it up in quarters 2-4, imposing her no-nonsense game and wreaking havoc on both sides of the ball. St. Rose had no answer for the versatile G/W as she played bully-ball inside and out en-route to 17 points, including three triples [and one very long two]. Stout defense made a huge impact in turning around a 12-11 first quarter deficit. She hawked the perimeter and also dropped back to lock down the paint, protecting the rim and swatting a pair of shots. I was impressed with her poise and leadership, most of all. Li is aware the it starts and ends with her, and she handles it well.

Some would argue that Aleah is already a star! She was quite impressive against Red Bank Catholic despite the loss, tallying 22 points and scoring them in a variety of ways. She knocked down a pair of triples and put the defender in a blender with a lethal pull back crossover into a 15-foot jumper. She’s so versatile!
