About Alyna
Expert Analysis
Al Schell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
If you like fundamentally sound and dynamic floor generals, Lala is a player to watch. She is a slick ball handler and she can make shots from all over the court. She’s equally dangerous in transition and half court sets because of her decision making and scoring ability. Take a few minutes to check her out.

Elizabeth Seton needed points as they fell behind early and Alyna provided by way of the three pointer. She launched one at the buzzer to cut the lead and another to start the second half. I would have like to see the Roadrunners run sets for her to keep work the comeback while she was hot.

Lala made some big three pointers both gave the Roadrunners leads. The late three was the potential game winner if not for some late heroics by the Mustangs. Lala handled duties at the point and off the ball and was a threat to score at any point.

Lala made the move to Seton and she is familiar with WCAC play. The timing couldn’t have worked out better as the Roadrunners lost a lot of perimeter firepower to graduation. Adding a high level shooter that can also control the flow and pace of the game makes that a threat to get in the title game or at least vey close. She is a good defender and can exploits a few teams weaknesses at point guard. For her there is no “bad shot” so if she is open the ball should be going through the net.

Last season Seton had one of the most complete teams and one of the leagues top shooters which they lost to graduation. In bringing in “Lala” they replace the loss with another sharpshooter that can also play the point as well. The Roadrunners will need to paly solid defense and score over 50 points per game if they really want to compete for a title, she can be a game changer for them if they take the safety off and let her cook. She has the capability to be the team leader in both scoring and assists.

Alyna is a natural point guard that makes really good decisions on the floor. She has always been a really good shooter and one of the smartest players in the game. She plays good position defense and has the ability to take over a game when she’s not looking to involve her teammates. She’s the type of player that every program needs and coaches love to have on the floor.

Alyna’s shot is so pure that every time she shoots you feel that it’s going in. She showed some more of her game attacking the rim and finishing with both hands. She got to the line and made free throws. She’s listed at 5’6″ but looks closer to 5’8″. She made her teammates look good as she had good chemistry with everyone on the floor regardless of playing still as she can play on or off the ball equally as effective.

Lala shot the ball really well and had some nice drives to the basket while running her team at the point. She recently picked up a division one offer from Pittsburgh and it was easy to see why as everyone needs a floor general that can stretch the floor and get their teammates involved.
