A’leeyah was a key contributor for Team 6 throughout the PGH Michigan Expo. Her unselfish extra passes, quickness off the dribble, defensive pressure, and outside shooting caught my attention. A’leeyah dribbled into a smooth slot three and drilled another triple up top. She worked hard to secure an offensive rebound and made a nice kicout pas for an assist on a three. A’leeyah kicked the ball out again for an assist on a three, made a one more pass from the corner for an assist, and her pressure in the back court made ball-handlers uncomfortable. A’leeyah is a prospect I’m excited to see this winter with Bay City John Glenn. She had a breakout spring with Michigan Prospects and another noteworthy day at the Northwood Elite Camp. A’leeyah attacked downhill with a burst through the gap, landed with a jump stop, and countered to score a layup. She jumped to the ball, anticipated drives, and turned ball-handlers with her quick feet. A’leeyah is a sharpshooter from beyond the arc, an excellent facilitator, and a scrappy defender.
