About Alexa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d say that I like to get in a good flow, I’m always looking to make plays and passes to my teammates, as well as shooting the ball from different crazy places.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Each game it’s poker face. I don’t want to show anyone how I feel unless I’m celebrating with my team after something good. I always do my best to give that extra energy and 100% to make up for others who might be down, as well as pick up my teammates no matter what situation we’re in

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I’m in big brother big sister, national honors society and I was put on the deans list for my early college classes.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed I’d say all of those, I’ve always been a team player, always working to pick up my teammates as well as cheer them on. I’m also a leader, I want to make sure my team is taken care of so we can not only win but bond and have fun.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My sophomore year of high school, I didn’t hardly touch the floor. Come junior year, I was a starter and played 11 games hardly ever coming out. I got sick with the flu, and missed our Christmas tournament. When I came back, I didn’t start again the rest of the season, and my minutes were significantly reduced. Through hard work I was able to gain back my playing time I lost
