She closed her season with a huge performance in the state championship that ultimately helped secure the win for her team. Knocking down shots from three, she provided a major spark on offense, just like she did all regular season long. When the lights were the brightest, she delivered.

It is fun to watch Oaxaca. She is constantly moving, always in the right spots and plays hard at both ends. As a taller guard she is aggressive defensively against smaller guards on the wing, overpowering dribblers and shooters to get steals and stops for her team. She can hold her own against taller post players, get to the boards and help control the paint. On offense, she is constantly in efficient motion. She cuts hard, to catch in open spots in the paint for strong finishes. She can also catch on the wing and can get to the basket or pull up to hit the open jumpers. She is definitely a triple threat to score. With PSB , Alexcia will have a productive and exciting AAU summer.

Listed as a SF, it is hard to put Oaxaca into one position category. She is very comfortable in the paint. She is strong with the ball in her hands, getting to the basket for points from the high post or playing with her back to the basket. She also has the handles to catch it on the wing and get to the paint and she can hit the mid-range jumpers for points as well. Keeping Alexcia off the boards is difficult at both ends. She keeps taller post players off the block and off the boards easily. Also on defense, she has the footwork to stay with dribblers in full court traps and half court pressure. Oaxaca is versitile and strong, exaclty what this grassroots summer season needs.

Alexcia has been the X-factor for Holy Family, making winning plays in every part of the game. While she isn’t a selfish offensive player, she knows how to pick her spots and relies on her teammates to get her ball. When necessary, she can attack one-on-one and is also a legit three-point threat when defenders sag off or help elsewhere. Her all round game makes her an important piece for Holy Family as they prepare for the postseason.

Oaxaca is active on the break, constantly finding ways to be a threat in transition. The sophomore has been most prevalent in transition opportunities, finding ways to make herself available through outlets or well timed cuts. Certainly making herself available no matter the circumstances, Oaxaca provides value as a release valve should help approach teammate ball handlers. Her impact getting rebounds will be especially intriguing, doing a great job of reading the shot direction to create leverage on the glass in the right spot.
