Lexi caught my attention when Marquette came downstate to play Grand Blanc last season, and she had another strong outing at the Zero Star Basketball Showcase. A guard who has tight handles on the rock, plus court vision, finishes confidently with both hands, can light it up from three-point range, and has a next-play mentality is a prospect who can make an impact at the next level. Lexi checks all those boxes. She received All-U.P. Honorable Mention recognition as a junior and would be an excellent addition to a college program.

Lexi is a shifty point guard, and her ball handling stood out among the group during the dribble series at the Zero Star Showcase. She had quick, low dribbles and changed hands with ease. Lexi showed off her outside range by burying multiple three-pointers from the wings and corners during drills. She drove with a burst downhill during 1v1 and 2v2, finishing layups confidently with her left hand. Lexi created space with her dribble and made extra passes to create open looks for teammates. She showed her competitive fire after a miss by immediately going into a dead sprint to chase down a breakaway and force the missed layup. That’s the determination and effort coaches love to see in a prospect.

Lexi is a scrappy point guard prospect from Marquette that competes for every loose ball and rises to the occassion. She has shifty handles and a burst that helps her get by defenders to score floaters and layups. Lexi knocks down step-back jumpers from the mid-range and beyond the arc. She’ll be one of the top guards to watch at the Zero Star Showcase.

Lexi was flying around the court for Marquette and she made plays to help the team compete throughout the game. Lexi created separation from defenders using crossovers and jab steps to drive and shoot pull-up jumpers. She accelerated to score a scoop layup in a crowd, moved her defender with a jab to hit a smooth mid-range jumper off the dribble, and added a clean crossover step-back straightaway 3. Lexi outworked others to secure multiple rebounds and created steals on defense. She pushed the ball full court to score a nifty fake-pass left-handed layup late and led the squad with 11 points. Lexi is a shifty guard to keep an eye on.
