About Alexis

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a skilled ball handler, able to navigate through difficult defenses, whether I’m up against a triple team in the paint or a full-court press. My court vision allows me to read the game effectively, enabling me to anticipate movements and make accurate, timely plays that help shooters get quality shots. Additionally, I excel on defense, being quick and often the first player back.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I value teamwork and prioritize the success of the team as a whole over individual achievements. My positive attitude stems from excellent coaching throughout my basketball journey, particularly at PGC camps, which emphasize a positive mental attitude. Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a multi-sport athlete participating in varsity soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. I have volunteered to raise awareness about congenital heart issues among student athletes and assist in coaching youth basketball in my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I promote heart health awareness among student-athletes by speaking at games and raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House. I do this independently and have also spoken to the media about hidden heart conditions and how some may be corrected through surgery with early detection, which can save lives. I also assist in coaching youth basketball in my community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced many challenges throughout my life, but I always strive to overcome them. I consistently seek ways to overcome these obstacles by maintaining a positive mindset, relying on supportive friends and family, and prioritizing personal growth.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am open to considering any college, but I am particularly interested in institutions that foster a strong sense of community. I thrive in environments where collaboration, support, and camaraderie among students and faculty are prioritized. I believe that being part of a close-knit community enhances the overall college experience, fostering personal growth and meaningful connections.

Her shooting range extends well beyond the three-point line, making her a constant threat whenever she has the ball in her hands.

Alexis embodies that competitive spirit every coach wants in their lead guard. That fiery energy is packed within an athletic frame that can’t wait to pounce on either side of the ball. It doesn’t take much for Alexis to have an effect on plays either. Menard O’Neil loves to push the pace too; she certainly excels in upbeat tempos, shining brighter than ever in transition. That athleticism allows her to hold her own against any competitor. The ’27 guard is a standout through those tough high-energy games.
