Smyth is a glue kid because she can fit and play multiple roles. You can put this one on any list; stock-riser, glue player, gamechanger, etc. I love her ability to jump out of the gym. She’s a great two-way player. She is long, and athletically gifted! She is an athlete that could go for 20 points on any given night, but she makes the game winning, correct plays. She doesn’t have to “gets hers” to be impactful. She does whatever it takes and it continues to show! She is one of the best defenders in the state. She will lock anyone up, and she will guard the best player! She’s a winner, and she’s a state champ! Catch her FBC Reign team this summer, and don’t be late to watch her have a HUGE senior season! This kid is 110% legit in all aspects of the game! She is going to be a next level athlete, and she is going to be a good one!

A fun and energetic kid who competes from tip to the final whistle. She is another kid who comes in under the 5’10 mark, but is so impactful. I am talking about she is active on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she is a problem. A disruptor who gets steals and deflections by the bunches. She reads situations well and knows when to jump gaps, leading to easy transition buckets. On the offensive end, she is a 3 level scoring threat. She can spot up along the 3 line or use her quick first step to attack a defender and get into a quick pull-up shot or finish at the rim. This kid is a heady ballplayer, and every time she touches the floor, good things tend to happen. She will be a solid addition to a program at the next level, so stay tuned to where she will land.

Athletic wing that can do a multitude of things. Score from all 3 levels, use her athleticism to exploit an opponent, rebound the basketball, just anything workmanslike, she does and owns the opportunity. She’s determined and hungry, willing to do whatever it takes to help her team win. Plays with an exceptional motor. Look for her stock to continue to rise as her ball club looks to run it back next season with her at the helm.

Motored up kid who goes beyond the call of duty. Hustle. Hustle. Hustle. There is no stop. Can score it from all 3 levels, but it’s her ability to wiggle past defenders to get to favorable spots to score that’s impressive. Her never quit attitude is infectious and it showed in the style of play this team has. She’s the leading catalyst and she just goes hard all the time. Shifty kid who continues to grow.

Aleyah is one of the most underrated players in the state! One of the first things that I noticed when watching film was her body control. She is playing more under control. You can tell when an athlete puts in the work in the off season and Smyth definitely has! Aleyah is an athletic two-way player. She is one of the most versatile athletes that you will find in the entire state of TN. She has a great vertical. She is long and athletically gifted. If you don’t have Smyth on your radar, you should! There is so much to love about Aleyah’s all-around game.

was super tough in this game. She finished with 14 pts, 6 rebounds , and 3 assists. This kid was motored up and she looked to attack gaps challenging the Lady Lions in the painted area. Displayed 1 hand cuff move as she wouldn’t be denied on her way to the rim. Look for her along with her teammates to have a great season as they set their sights on bigger opportunities to come. Great talent who will be making noise this upcoming season.

Smyth is one of those kids that just seems to make winning plays. Her stats won’t jump off the screen, but when you watch her play, the effort is undeniable. Her motor is her greatest asset, and that makes her a disruptive defender. She got a nice frame with solid athleticism, and extremely active hands. She’s the first on the floor for 50/50 balls. She can guard multiple positions. Offensively, she’s at her best attacking the rim. She’s doesn’t need to score it to be impactful and plays unselfishly. Tight handles, changes speeds and directions quickly, and has really nice touch at the rim. She’s a connector on offense, and plays a big-time role for Heritage.

Her evolution as a player gives Heritage another dimension. As Swaney and Heath draw big time help, and if Graves becomes a shooter you can’t help off of, it opens major gaps for Smyth to attack off the bounce.
She had an incredible game in their win over White County. Her defense has been phenomenal as well, as she also took two huge charges. Smyth’s game has really grown over the past year.

Smyth keeps getting better and better. I saw her playing up for ETA Thunder ’25 Smith a few weekends ago, and I couldn’t tell she was a youngster playing up. She’s poised, doesn’t get rattled, and always brings it defensively. She’s already played in plenty of big moments.

Smyth played up with the ’25s and has made a real difference on defensive end. She switchable, she communicates, and has a high motor. She’s been rebounding and blocking shots at a high rate, this weekend, and then added a 6 point game with a made 3 in win #3. Love her ability to impact games at the high levels.
