The level of production on offense, plus her tendency to play solid and adaptable defense makes her one of the best overall big talents. She comes to play every game, plus she’s as tough as nails. Aliona has been able to get back on the court for a bit of action this year, but a fully healed Aliona is a scary sight, especially when she’ll be heavily featured with even more add-ons to her game. With a tenacious attitude and a will to want to be dominant, Nikulina is a tough matchup.

Aliona unfortunately was dealing with injuries during the season, but has battled back recently to showcase why she’s such a highly touted prospect in her class at the power forward position. Thers no exact update on what percentage Nikulina is for the game, but she could still be very effective due to her natural skill and resourcefulness around the basket. She’s a strong bodied frontcourt player that can rebound with the best of them plus she has a tendency to finish efficiently around the basket. The defense she may be able to provide can be a staple. She serves as an anchor and she isn’t hesitant with her physicality. With Aliona out there, the games become incredibly intriguing.

Aliona is coming in as the top-rated power forward in the rankings. The 6’0 versatile forward can play at least 3 different positions on any given night. Her ability to shoot the long 3 allows her to be successful as a small forward in some of the bigger lineups she plays in, but her post skills also allow her to flourish down low with the centers. Nikulina offers athleticism, high IQ and impactful scoring capabilities mixed with high energy defense on the other end. Aliona offers a ton to the game and that’s why she was such a key piece to her team’s championship run this year. Her game is steady and reliable enough to take on heavy loads of responsibility. Aliona makes herself available while sealing defenders before she gets to her moves. Soft hands and finishing ability at the rim. She is a work horse that brings that energy to the game on both sides of the ball. On Defense, Nikulina works well roaming underneath the 3-point line or binding up players down low attempting shots at the rim. Aliona is looking to add on to her championship resume as a sophomore as well as her elite status among the bigs in the region.
